Dear Parents & Students,
Welcome back to Term 4 at KGD!
With the West Gippsland Dance Festival recently concluding and the Cecchetti Choreography Competition upon us there hasn't been a whole lot of down time for some over the holidays but we hope the rest of you are well rested and ready for a very exciting new term!
We welcome our new families that have recently joined us and say thank you and goodbye for now to those who have finished for the year, we hope they have enjoyed their time and look forward to their return in the new year.
With that said, now is the time to refocus as we embark on our exciting journey ahead to prepare for the end of year showcase…

DIRECT DEBIT
As most of you know, KGD will be implementing direct debit this year, starting Term 2 with the slow introduction of INTEGRAPAY.
We are always looking at new systems and processes to better your experience with KGD and ensure everything behind the scenes is running a smoothly as possible.
With the assistance of Integrapay, we believe this will be another fabulous upgrade to the KGD admin world and look forward to implementing it shortly.
UNIFORM: SHOES
We have been noticing this term that many students, in particular existing students from last year have been coming into class with the incorrect shoes and uniform. This includes even the younger Beginner level students.
Please note: ALL ballet students must come to class with the correct KGD Leotard and Tights and their hair in a slicked-back ballet bun.
Please ensure correct shoes are worn to every class. Pink canvas or leather classical ballet shoes with elastic straps sewn onto sides are the two options allowable, any other shoes are likely to slip on our floors and are a safety risk.
For jazz and tap classes, tan coloured Jazz or Tap shoes in either Energetiks or Bloch brands are to be worn (as this will be the compulsory colour for all items in the end of year showcase).
Beginner Tap students only require a smaller heel on Tap shoes, only senior levels may wear a higher heel.
Elastic sides preferred on Jazz shoes as opposed to lace ups.
Please also ensure the rubber grips that come in the box of your new Tap shoes are super-glued onto the bottom (ball) of the tap shoe to prevent slipping.
Preschool shoes requirements
A friendly reminder for preschool combination classes, students need two types of shoes.
Although we understand that sometimes things can happen that may prevent this but from now on we will be following up with the parents of any student to be seen frequently attending with incorrect uniform and/or hair.
