Program Overview

The ELEGANCE level supports students who have developed a strong love of dance through KGD KIDZ and ASPIRE, and progressed into the more focused training of POISE and GRACE. At this stage, students refine technique, artistry and performance quality as they prepare for senior-level training.

Classical Ballet Training

Students in the ELEGANCE level continue to follow the Cecchetti method. Those who have completed their Grade 2 Ballet examination in the GRACE level typically continue with their Grade 3 Ballet examination during ELEGANCE.

Students are also encouraged to participate in the Grade 4 Ballet Exam class at no additional cost. While the exam is not sat, this advanced class supports accelerated technical development across all dance genres.

Students who demonstrate the required standard, commitment and maturity may be invited to join the Elite Competition Team in the 10 & under age group.

Elite Competition Pathway

Elite Competition Team students train in an additional 60-minute class per week. Throughout the year, students learn three routines which are performed at two major competitions, with selected routines also showcased at the end-of-year performance in December.

Additional Opportunities

As the year progresses, ELEGANCE students may access opportunities including an in-house Student Choreography Competition, participation in our Summer Intensive in January with industry-renowned teachers, involvement in school social events, and attendance at Cecchetti Ballet Australia awards days.

Please note: Entry-level beginner students aged 9 may be required to commence in the POISE level before entering the GRACE or ELEGANCE levels, depending on experience and class selection, to ensure a strong foundation in basic technique.
