Karlie Grace Dancers’ Commitment to Child Safety
At Karlie Grace Dancers (KGD), we are deeply committed to the safety, wellbeing, and empowerment of every child in our care. Our studio is a place where students not only learn to dance—but grow in confidence, self-expression, and character, supported by an environment that is nurturing, inclusive, and safe.
We uphold the belief that all children have the right to feel safe, respected, and heard. Our policies and practices are designed to protect children from harm and support their physical, emotional, and cultural wellbeing.
Our Child Safety Commitment

-
We have zero tolerance for child abuse or harm of any kind.
-
We are committed to creating a studio culture where children feel safe, valued, and empowered.
-
We actively support the cultural safety of Aboriginal children, children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and children with disabilities or additional needs.
-
We promote inclusion, respectful relationships, and positive peer support in every class.
-
We take steps to identify and remove risks in both physical and online environments.
-
We provide a clear, confidential process for reporting concerns, and take all reports seriously and respectfully.
Our Teachers, Staff, and Volunteers
-
All staff, teachers, and volunteers must hold a current Working with Children Check and pass background screening before working with students.
-
We conduct regular child safety training and ensure all team members understand their role in creating a protective and professional environment.
-
Staff must follow the KGD Code of Conduct, which outlines expectations for safe, respectful, and age-appropriate interactions with students.
-
Any concerns about child safety are to be reported directly to the Principal, Miss Karlie, and will be handled with care, discretion, and urgency.
Partnering with Parents

We believe child safety is a shared responsibility. We encourage open communication with parents and guardians and welcome their feedback to improve our policies and practice. We provide regular updates and opportunities for families to raise concerns, ask questions, and be actively involved in the wellbeing of their child.
Ongoing Responsibility and Review
Child safety is not a set-and-forget responsibility. We review our practices and policies regularly to ensure they are current, compliant, and effective. We involve staff, families, and, where appropriate, students in reviewing how we can continually improve the safety and support offered within our studio.
