Program Overview
At the ASPIRE level, classes are offered individually, allowing students to choose the styles that best suit their interests. Most students continue with Classical Ballet, Jazz and Tap to develop strong technical foundations, with additional options including Hip Hop and Acrobatics. Contemporary is introduced at age 7 in the POISE level, once sufficient technique has been established.

Classical Ballet Training
All Ballet classes follow the Cecchetti method, an internationally recognised training system that underpins Ballet education from ASPIRE through to senior levels. Students aged 5 years learn the Pre-Primary syllabus, while 6-year-old students study the Primary syllabus (Cecchetti). These syllabi are taught organically within class and do not necessarily align with school grade levels.

Students who demonstrate readiness may be invited by the Principal to sit a Cecchetti Ballet assessment held annually in March.

Learning Environment
Classes become more structured than our Preschool program, introducing Ballet terminology and an expanded movement vocabulary, while maintaining the sense of enjoyment, confidence and encouragement developed in KGD KIDZ.

Assessments & Progression
Students are encouraged to work towards Ballet assessments, which help build motivation, discipline and confidence. Successful students receive an official Cecchetti Ballet Australia certificate and trophy at the end of the year and are well prepared for progression into the POISE level and potential entry into our ELITE competition stream.

Community & Events
ASPIRE students have access to all KGD social events, including discos, movie nights, themed days, holiday programs and more.
