Program Overview

At the GRACE level, students continue to refine their technical ability while progressing along structured pathways for Ballet examinations and performance. Training expectations increase to support growing maturity, focus and artistic development.

Classical Ballet Training

Students at the GRACE level follow the Cecchetti method, an internationally recognised training system. Students who have completed their Grade 1 Ballet examination in the POISE level typically continue with their Grade 2 Ballet examination during GRACE. Students who demonstrate the required technical standard, commitment and maturity may be invited to join the Elite Competition Team in the 8 & under age group.

Elite Competition Pathway

Elite Competition Team students train in an additional 60-minute class per week. Throughout the year, students learn three routines which are performed at two major competitions. Two routines are also presented at the end-of-year performance in December.

All GRACE students are celebrated at the Presentation Evening in December as they graduate into the ELEGANCE level and receive their certificate and medal. Elite Competition Team and Ballet Exam students are further acknowledged for their dedication to additional training and performance achievements.

Learning Environment

Classes at the GRACE level encourage greater independence, discipline and responsibility, while continuing to support students in a positive and encouraging environment that values confidence and enjoyment.

Additional Opportunities

As the year progresses, GRACE students may access a range of extended opportunities, including an in-house Student Choreography Competition, participation in our Summer Intensive in January with industry-renowned teachers, and involvement in school social events. Students may also be invited to attend external events such as Cecchetti Ballet Australia awards days.

Please note: Entry-level beginner students aged 8 may be required to commence in the ASPIRE level before entering the POISE or GRACE levels, depending on experience and class selection, to ensure a strong foundation in basic technique.
